Hey Guys
I hope you are all well and have had a good week.
I have had a great week and have actually seen real live people in the flesh. I think I have been having f…u…n…?!
As well as this I have been feeling pretty excited about what has and will be coming up soon.
Dream Pop
I am launching another moniker to write under. It’s gonna be a dream pop band and I am hiring other singers to do a much better job than me and sing the lyrics I write to the tunes I produce.
Yes I know but I just get really excited by all the music everywhere.
I have just finished the first demo and have the singer working on it as I type. So needless to say I am very excited to see how it turns out.
1983
Working on the newest single by Zac Rivers (my synthwave moniker) called 1983. Again I am hiring a singer to be human over the top of my layers of vocoders.
I really love the sound and ease of recording with vocoders and it takes the pressure off me to actually sing well (or even sing at all).
Goodbye trailer Music?
No not at all.
I have been busy beavering away on a solo violin album for Elephant Music this week.
The results have been amazing. I do so love hearing real musicians play my music.
The only thing I find difficult is finding a player who is consistent (and in tune). I admit timing is always something that can be addressed but I like tiny timing fluctuations. They make it feel a litle more real.
Well that was the excuse I used when I used to do session work :D
Hiring!?
As you know I have a small sample library company called Inventive Instruments.
We have been busy getting a batch of 10-20 instruments ready for launch.
The shape of the launch is starting to take shape and is getting me very excited.
As a result I am I am looking to hire Kontakt instrument creators.
If getting paid to produce boutique sample libraries interests you then please keep reading. If it doesn’t then please keep reading too :D
I am putting a call out for you to submit a Kontakt instrument that fits the criteria below.
Every month I will be looking for you guys (and my wider social networks) to pitch one or more kontakt instruments and I will then select the best 4 submissions.
Those 4 submissions will get paid an upfront fee of £100 as a buyout for those samples. Anyone selected will get “lifetime” access to all the instruments.
So there will be £400 up for grabs each month.
A Little bit about the business.
It will be a newsletter business that delivers inspiring and inventive sample libraries to the inbox of its subscribers once a month.
Subscribers will pay a monthly or annual fee to gain access to each months’ releases and also the back catalogue of previous instruments.
I’m planning on an affiliate program and possibly royalties for the creators but haven’t ironed out the details. I like the idea of the creators still getting thier dues because I am a creator too :)
This is the original vision I had for Inventive Instruments. A newsletter business for creatives to stay inspired.
What am I looking for?
Inspiring, interesting and inventive sounds that make you want to write a piece of music.
Oh and they have to be on the full version of Kontakt 5!
If you are at all interested hit reply and let me know you are starting your first creation for Inventive!
Rave Reviews
I recently got this lovely message on Facebook.

This is one of the biggest reasons why we must share our gifts.
It doesn’t just mean that we get to create and do that stuff we yearn to do, it means that we might help people and raise their vibrations even if just a little bit.
Our music can help people.
So.
Go on guys, share your gifts with the world. You never know, you might bring a tiny bit of happiness to their day!
(or in the case of some of my trailer music, you might bring them some brown trousers)
You guys are absolute legends!
