Hey Guys
I hope you have all had an awesome week and managed to get some time to be creative and have some fun.
I had a blast this week. It started with me putting a bid on an old Casio SK5 and ended with me landing a trailer, cash-back!
Brown Trousers Time!
This week saw my track ‘Tomb’ from Elephant Music’s album Throat 4 get used for tremendously terrifying effect on Ben Wheatley’s new horror, ‘In The Earth’.
This is another placement under the belt for this track. I am extremely proud of these dark, building tracks and really do go to show that when you enjoy the process of writing and producing it really does pay off.
It all started with Poo!
I am very excited to share this week’s YouTube offering. It all started when I was a small boy and my step sister showed me how to use her Casio SK5 to record my own voice and play it on the keyboard.
It was then that my career in sampling began.
And now, I want to pay homage to the Casio SK5 by creating a series of videos where I take one single sample and one single drum machine and create not only an entire piece of music but also a playable Kontakt instrument (which is available to paying member on this site)
p.s. You’ll never guess what the first word was when I sampled my voice for the first time?
And if you want to get your hands on the library we created from this session then just become a supporter on my site for only £5 per month and you will get all the little libraries I create as part of a thank you for your support. Next week’s library is really really nice, cinematic ambient washes from a single Violin pluck.

Stressed Much?
In this episode of the composed podcast I give you guys a tool to reduce stress in your life, making room for more creativity and peace to flow.
Overwhelmed? Listen to this for some helpful tips
This week on the TMC podcast I talked about something that I still experience to this day and I know a lot of you guys do too, burnout.
I thought I would bring this up as no one seems to want to talk about it (funny that). I know we don’t want to admit when we take on too much or even to say no to possible work but sometimes saying “No” is the best thing you can do.
We are all basically toddlers anyway so given and getting boundaries only gives us a better sense of safety and security. In this case that comes in the form of not burning out!

Seeing as we started talking about 80s Keyboards…
Here is another one of my pseudonyms (that I have made no effort to push in anyway but just love doing it anyway).
Introducing Zac Rivers, just another 80s kid.

If you like a bit of synth-wave, new retro wave, vocoders and soundtracks to 80s movies then you should like this stuff too.
You guys are absolute legends,
Thanks for taking the time to read this,
As ever, have a great weekend and carry on being your awesome selves!
