Be with your fears to help achieve your goals
Your deep-rooted beliefs can derail even the most decisive action.
I spent last night journaling about what the best thing I could do to move the needle in my record label.
The thing that came up surprised me…
It was my mindset and internal beliefs that I needed to work on; sadly, if I am honest with myself, I find it hard to believe that without a gatekeeper (publisher, for example), I am unable to achieve the goals I set out.
Because I struggle to believe in myself, I am preventing (or at least slowing) my progress toward achieving my goals.
Let’s take going viral on TikTok as an example; it’s completely out of your control, but all it takes is one piece of music and one video.
The more I work, aside from increasing my chances by releasing more music, doesn’t have a direct correlation.
Yes, I know this isn’t always the case, but the gist is the same. Work smarter, not harder, kind of thing.
So, I have decided that I need to let go of my fear of success and lack of belief in myself. I am going to write out my goal every morning, then be with the feelings that this brings up (guilt, fear, shame, disbelief, etc)
Much like affirmations, manifesting, goal setting, healing (all those woo-woo things), I believe that the energy you are giving off is as important as the work.
So I am working on my energy by sitting with, and not judging, my fears.

Happy composing!Rich
